The committee
recommended Chargers+Raiders moving to Carson, but they couldn't get the needed votes. The Rams' owner already has land in Inglewood. So they went with a hybrid plan of Rams+Chargers in Inglewood. Raiders will receive money from the league towards a new stadium in Oakland. Chargers have one year to finalize terms to exit San Diego and share the Inglewood stadium with the Rams, or they lose "dibs" and it'll be the Raiders joining the Rams.
This is the best possible outcome for me. As I have mentioned before, prior to jumping over to the Dolphins in 1995, I was a lifelong
Carolina Panthers LA Rams fan. I am happy to see my old team go back to LA, and equally happy to see angry, bitter St. Louis Rams fans feel the taste of sweet justice. Only
one fanbase deserves it more!
Additionally, I have lots of friends in the Bay Area who are Raider fans, and I respect the Raider fanbase and think they have been through enough.
