I love the effect the change is having. My only concern is that we will need to revisit the rule again in 5-10 years.

For reference, extra points were successful only 94.1% of time this season, down from 99.3% in 2014. The extra point success rate was around the 97% mark when the NFL last changed things -- in '74 when the goal posts were moved to the back of the endzone. That elicited a drop much like the one we've seen this time around (> 5%) and recovery actually took almost 20 years.

I think we'll see a much faster rebound this time around just going by the massive improvements seen on kicks if less than 40 yards over the past. The 94% seen this year was also quite a bit lower than one might have expected, since field goals of that distance were made 96% of the time both of the seasons prior to that ('13 and '14).

Just going by the general upward trend in short kicks, the extra point success rate will be above 98% in about 5 years.

Not as much as Miami beating New England to end the season. There's little doubt that game cost New England the chance to play in the Super Bowl and I couldn't be happier. Hopefully all the people saying who weren't happy about us winning see that they were wrong.

I hated the change at the beginning of the season, but now, I like it.

I don;t think he's one to worry too much abou that. I keep hearing how people say he was stupid for not kicking the FG yesterday but the truth is his decision making has won him far more than it has cost him. I'm sure this will as well seeing as he has one of the best kickers in the league.

I didn't have a problem with going for it on those 4th downs.  There was no way to predict if you get the ball back.  You want to punch it in when you have it, giving the Broncos the ball back with 3 minutes after a FG is typically certain doom.  You won't see the ball again.

That said, I think passing to Edelman short of the sticks on 4th and 1 is a terrible play call.  But its a consequence of a great pass rush and Brady getting hurried all day.
