Hey guys.   I've been really busy for a while dealing with personal stuff but I'm back.   Get a load of this mock that I put together with our haul of draft picks.

This is assuming we lose out and get the #2 overall pick.

1. Chase Young- DE Ohio State

1. Jedrick Willis- OT Alabama (from Pittsburgh)

1. Javon Kinlaw- DT South Carolina (from Houston)

2. Alex Leatherwood- OT Alabama

2. Julian Okwara- DE Notre Dame (from Houston)

3. Cam Akers- RB- Florida State

4. Darryl Williams- OG Mississippi State

I've upgraded the running game 500%. We've got a pair of bookend tackles from the same school, two talented edge rushers, and the interior of both lines just got beefed up. What do you think?

I would love Chase Young, seems like a solid mock.

Looks like a solid mock draft as we need to fix the lines, preferably the O-Line first. However, unless Tua's medicals are garbage I just don't see the team pasisng on him. Not just for my own preference, but the team's. Their fanbase would murder them if he was available and they passed him up.

Forget about Tua. Most people I talk to didn't want him before the injury.

Bingo.  Tua is questionable as a prospect because of his throwing style and his size.   You guys have a treasure trove of draft picks.  Use it to beef up the trenches.  I salivate when I look at this mock as the Bucs could use every single one of those guys.   From what I can see you have two first rounders next year as well.   You can easily move up for Lawrence or Fields.

The point of being awful was to use our own 1st rounder on a QB, not 2 or 3 of them. Too many holes to fill to use multiple picks just to move up because we stupidly beat the Jets or Colts.

The problem is, there are no sure fire QB prospects in this draft after Burrow, Tua included.   And Burrow is all but going to be in a Bengals uniform next year.   You could offer Cincinnati all the picks from your next two drafts and they still wouldn't trade out of that top spot.

This mock fills a lot of key holes, especially in positions where the game is won/lost, IMHO.

Fucking Tua and his injury, that really shaked things up. At this point, looks like we either draft Young or that OT from Georgia. If we pick 5th, then all bets are off and pray that Rosen learned a whole lot redshirting his sophomore season.

How much do you think it would cost to sign all these guys?

Rookie contracts are pretty inexpensive all things considered. Our draft won't take up much the  120 million or so that we have to spend.

I would love to see Cam Akers here but more than likely he will go in the second round.

Miami (as of now) is picking 5th (which makes no sense).  Won't get the overall two and won't get Chase at 5.

Tua probably at 5, Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz with either the Pitt pick or the Texans pick...Tristan Wirfs, Offensive Tackle, Iowa, Shane Lemieux, Offensive Guard, Oregon or Jon Greenard, Defensive End, Florida  with the other

If Tua is there at 5 and his medicals check out, we are taking him. There is no question about it, even if from now until then it would benefit us to take someone else, we won't. The fans would revolt. The rest of the picks will probably be O-Line depending on what we did in free agency. I expect us to be very active in both free agency and the draft when it comes to the lines.

His medicals can't possibly check out by the time of the draft. He'll still be recovering from his injury. Now they can say everything looks good at that point but there's no way you'll know until next season rolls around if he can get back to 100% or not. It's not possible. So you are taking a risk by taking him, that's a given. So his medicals really don't matter unless they just say he's never going to be the same, but that's not going to happen. They won't really know until he starts playing again whether he'll ever be the same again. It can heal just fine, doesn't mean he'll ever be the same. Healed doesn't mean it's like it never happened. It's almost a certainty that he'll have some issues with that joint the rest of his life, the only question is will it prevent him from being the QB he was prior to the injury and the only way to know that is for him to try.

Read this from Tua himself.
