I cannot fathom why you would attempt that kick.  Even if you make it, you give Brady one minute and two timeouts.  Why not go for it?

NE had a total of -1 rushing yards at that point.

Not sure I want to put it in the hands of my rookie QB when it's raining like that.
On the previous drive from the TB 9 yard line, NE gained 0 yards on 3 passing plays.

You'd rather give Brady the football with two timeouts and fifty seconds?

I would have kicked the FG, as well.  Take the points, take the lead.  Brady is good, but he's only one guy.  And if a team can drive the field on you in 50 seconds, you're not the better team and you're going to lose and that's OK.

If it was a clear night, I would've done the same, but in that weather, I would've gone for it.   New England's offense was moving consistently in the second half.  It was 4th and 3 and chances are you would've gotten the first down.  Then you chew up more clock, get closer for the FG and don't give Brady a chance to win.

Against Brady, mahomes, or Rodgers, go for it   It is not even a debate.  Against another quarterback, it is a toss up. However a fifty six yarder is very tough even under perfect conditions

I still can't believe that no NFL team has scooped you up yet.   Are they blind to your insight and grasp of the sport?
Maybe they are.  See, I am so smart.

Try 25 years

Yep a month off 25 years old...

Around 9 months more and Men in Black is 25 years old too.

I remember those from celebrating my AFL team's first premiership in Melbourne 1997... seems so long ago now.  Shocked Grin
