Kind of funny since San Fran uses thme a lot but so far our tight ends have been fairly quiet in camp. If this continues you can almost guarantee high priced Gisecki will be gone next season.

The Dolphins and Texans have completed yet another trade as Miami is sending tight end Adam Shaheen to Houston.

The Dolphins announced they are acquiring a 2023 sixth-round selection from the Texans, who get Shaheen and a 2023 seventh-round pick.

The Texans needed help at the position with Antony Auclair out with a knee injury, and the Dolphins listed Shaheen fifth on their depth chart behind Mike Gesicki, Durham Smythe, Hunter Long and Cethan Carter.

Shaheen appeared in 28 games with 12 starts for the Dolphins after they acquired him in a trade from Chicago in 2020. During his five-year NFL career, Shaheen has appeared in 55 games with 25 starts, totaling 50 receptions for 509 yards and seven touchdowns.

He entered the NFL as a second-round pick of the Bears in the 2017 draft.

And just like that he's back with the Dolphins because of a failed physical although I don't expect for very long.

After Mack Hollins left as an UFA, I always thought Shaheen was one of Tua's safety blankets after Waddle, Gesicki, Smythe (and of course the addition of Tyreek Hill).

I have to ask though... what the hell has Hunter Long done in his nothing of a career to be ahead of Shaheen in the depth chart? Plus, who the hell is Cethan Carter? Isn't he supposed to be a fullback?

Pure fullbacks aren't used that much and the skill set to be a fullback is pretty close to the skill set to be a blocking TE.

He's going on IR now.   Nobody wants damaged goods.
