One of my favorite musicians has died. Jeff Beck, guitar maestro has passed away at the age of 78, after contracting bacterial meningitis.

IMO, everything the man touched turned into musical gold. From his early years with the Yardbirds to an amazing and prolific solo career to the many collaborations with other artists.

Even though it wasn't his most famous work, the album that still gets the most play time for me is the album he did with Roger Waters from Pink Floyd in 1992 called "Amused to Death."

RIP, Music Man...

He had a great career.  I remember him mostly from the '80's playing with Clapton and Rod Stewart, among many other groups/musicians.
