Rams leading Ravens at the half 20-17.

Browns leading the Jags 14-7 at the half. Trevor Lawrence is playing but judging by his stat line, he probably shouldn't be.

So far, so good.

I was looking online and they had a Week 14 Miami Dolphins rooting guide

According to them we want

Bengals over Colts
Browns over Jags
Jets over Texans
Rams over Ravens
Bills over Chiefs
Chargers over Broncos

Any games that aren't Jags, Ravens, Chiefs or Bills related has no meaning to us because if it matters what the 6-6 Bengals do, we screwed up big time.

As it stands now, Rams just took the lead over the Ravens late in the 4th. That matters tremendously to use and we all need to pray/sacrifice virgins to Moloch that the Rams hold on and win.

Rams defense is choking bad and they didn't miss an extra point, I was thinking of the other game.

Rams defense choked but the offense saved them and we're going to overtime.

Rams choked in OT and the Ravens win.

Jags lose to the Browns. Lawrence played tough but he was hurt and had a very bad 1st half.

If the Chiefs lose today and we win tomorrow, we have a 2 game lead on both the Jags and Chiefs. Tied with the Ravens for best record but we hold the tiebreaker. Their next 3 games are at Jaguars, at Niners and then hosting us. So, they got a rough path ahead too.

Buffalo manhandling the Chiefs right now 14-0 with a few minutes left in the half and they got the ball. It feels dirty cheering for Buffalo, but it's for the best in terms of seeding.

Of course, Buffalo almost beating the Eagles on the road and beating the Chiefs now means they aren't done yet so I'm not happy about that either.

A tie would be the best thing.

I know it makes more sense to root for Buffalo but I just can't do it, and I hate the Chiefs.

It's tied now with 8 minutes to play in the 4th. Please tie.

Buffalo wins thanks to Toney.   His shitty play has cost the Chiefs two games now (remember all his drops on opening night against Detroit?)

It's really simple for the Dolphins.   You win out, you get the number one seed.  You control your own destiny.   I'm holding out hope that they will be able to win consistently in December.   Last time this team was in this position was 1993.  And we all know what happened there.

I may have seen this exact list.  Did you find it on Reddit, by chance?

If so, I saw a lot of people disagreeing with the original posters rationale on a lot of these and I think a lot of these were incorrect, as well.

The thinking was too myopic and only looking at records, but in a lot of these cases, we don't care if the team with the better record to win, because it doesn't affect us.  At this point, you want Buffalo out, you're planning to win your division, and you're trying to carve out that path.

Bengals over Colts -- I don't think this is clear cut.  I think it's OK if the Bengals win, but a Colts win solidly puts them over the Bills.  We aren't in contention with the Colts so it doesn't matter.
Browns over Jags - I agree wtih this, because 8 win Browns hurt Buffalo AND Jacksonville losing helps Dolphins take a higher seed, so win/win.
Jets over Texans - I totally disagree with this.  Texans with 8 wins hurts the Bills and doesn't affect us.
Rams over Ravens - Agree, unfortunately that didn't happen.
Bills over Chiefs - Agree, although it feels gross.
Chargers over Broncos - I disagree with this, as well.  8 win Broncos hurts Bills, plus we beat the Broncos by 50 and have the tiebreaker, so it doesn't hurt us.

Too much of this person's analysis was rooted in mathematically making the playoffs as a Wild Card, but that's not what's in store for us.  We want chaos with the wild card spots and the more bad teams in there, the better.

I watched the Rams/Ravens game and it was a good game.  Based on that game the Ravens are the best team in the AFC.  To beat the Ravens Miami's O-line has to have their best game of the year.

The Rams gave that game away.  Their clock management screwed them and they had to tie when there was a chance to win and they couldn't get it together and had to waste their timeout.  Slapdickery.
