^^^ He was ignoring the officers requests. Most people get "detained" and vehicles searched when that happens. Watch On Patrol Live one weekend and see how many times it happens to people of all races. It amazes me how many people these days don't understand the officer is in charge of the situation. Of course it amazes me how many people claim to be sovereign citizens too but that's a whole other level of crazy.

The Police have a hard enough job to do to keep the public safe (as well as reckless drivers from themselves). It's not too big an ask for some respect for them, and do as they say until the situation is sorted out.

How fucking hard is it to lower a window, or get out of the car if (what is obviously) a Police officer asks? (with a lot of other officers in the vicinity)

Tyreek was caught speeding and dismissively says to the officer, something like, just give me a ticket and go away... it's just not good enough. Does he seriously thinks he is so much better than everyone else that the law doesn't apply to him? IMO with all the additional Police officers on the scene, he was lucky just to get to the game and not be in a jail cell come kickoff.

Was that the first major derailment, or the alleged assault on the boat during the offseason?

You may get away with this crap if you are the top WR in the league. We're paying him like he is... but this season he's been far from it.

He was ignoring the officers REASONABLE demands, in particular keeping his tinted windows up.

Cops often make unreasonable demands.  In this case they didn't.

Like I said originally... Tyreek was being an asshole.

It amazes me that people assume police can do anything they want legally. Pulling someone out of the car and searching their car without probable cause isn't legal. And being an asshole to cops is completely legal. This was a miami cop on a power trip. The charges were all dismissed, he was suspended.

Look at the footage. This Miami cop was hardly alone during this incident. The one person on a power trip was Tyreek.

I get that people's feelings might not reflect the law but the law still holds all the cards legally. There is no law against being an asshole that I am aware of. "Reasonable suspicion" is refusing to obey an officer and is reason enough for detaining someone. They can establish "probable cause" after that based on the circumstances which includes continued disobedience.

Reek should have managed it better but he was not a threat to them lol plain and simple they felt disrespected and made an example out of him, because that’s how gangsters operate.
