Begins with a loss, and ends with a loss. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO 34-17 at home? So much for being the  elite of the league eh?

and week one was a 34-10 ass wooping by the miami dolphins.  Maybe you'll shut up for a bit.

Well, Denver_Bronco kept saying "NO ONE beats us at home*".
I'd never noticed the asterisk..."Except Pittsburgh"

Well atleast we know when he comes back on monday, he'll take his lumps, I'm just returning the favor for his shinanigans this season, and especially last season.  I'm sure he doesn't like the crow he's eating now.

I hear Pitt fans will donate their terrible towels as soon as Denver runs out of Kleenex.

C'mon, Bronco, you were...ahem...quite annoying with your predictions of grandeur.

Seriously, though, your team had a hell of a season, and that $26 mil shouldn't be too hard to overcome.  I know Trevor Pryce won't be back...that's gotta be, what, $6 Mil all by itself, right?

Just a few high caps and possible fixes.

Rod Smith 3.0 Mill (restruct)

Stephen Alexander 1.1 Mill (With Jeb, Duke I say cut the guy)

Jake Plummer 4.3 Mill ( Restruct)

Mike Anderson 2.5 Mill (It's been fun but not at 2.5 Mill Cut em)

Courtney Brown 1.4 Mill (resonable, may restruct)

Eb. Ekuban 3.0 Mill (see ya)

Trevor Pyrce 6.5 Mill (WHAT! goddbye former Bronco)

John Englberger 1.7 Mill ( emmm he could be a starter in 06 Restruct)

Champ Bailey 5.5 Mill (I like ya Champ, but you got to restruct that some)

So you can see that the bulk of the team is low contracts. The major money guys are easy cuts.

Jake/Rod/Champ are sure to restructure their deals.

The money is going to come from Nalen being released (6 mill- sorry folks its just economics), Warren's deal voiding out (6 mill), Trevor getting on the first bus out of town (9 mill).

Lynch comes in just under 3 mill too. We know he will rework

You sure Rod Smith isn't looking at retirement?  Isn't he like 97 years old?

i highly doubt it. Do 85 receps. for 1105 yds. sound like retirement numbers ? Couple that with the fact they were 1 game from the big show and i think it's an easy decision for Rod to return.

you forget to factor in losing your Offensive Coordinator, and getting your asses handed to you in the "next to big one" If I were him I'd pedal my wares elsewhere, because denver got lucky to get as far as they did.

I think it's unfair to say Denver "got lucky".  They won too many games for it to be lucky, and they beat some good teams along the way.  Denver met a team that was designed to stop the running game and force the QB to beat you.  Denver's achilles heel has always been Jake and he finally showed why.

Props to Denver for getting as far at they did.
