What makes you think T.O. will agree to these terms?  Me thinks he most certainly will be looking for a long term, big money deal with a huge signing bonus.

He'll change his tune when he sees that no team is going to offer that type of deal.  He's too much of a high-risk player.

That's where you're wrong.  There are 32 teams in the league, and more than one of them think they're 1 strong WR away from a title.  He'll get whatever he wants.

Alright...... wanna put a poop bet on it?  I'll bet that he'll get no more than a two year deal and his base salary will be under $2 million a year.

Loser sports the winner's avatar for a week, just like during the season.

to is gonna have to be on his best behavior for at least a year. no one (not counting rick schlepman) is gonna give him big money up front with a long term contract.

I think he'll find someone willing to pony up AT LEAST $5M for a one year contract. It's probably going to be hard for him to get a "double-digit signing bonus 4+ years" kind of deal, but a year for around $5M or 2 years for tripple that, with $5M being a roster bonus due in march or whenever next year.

Moss, certainly not the poster boy for locker room leadership either, is getting $9M a year for the first three years. Owens signed for $7M a year (average annual salary, including a $9M signing bonus) for his first three years in Philly. With signing bonus and roster bonuses, Harrison is scheduled to make an average of $10M a year for the first three years under his latest contract in Indy.

I would think teams would hesitate with a large signing bonus, but I don't see how a team wouldn't be willing to pay him [EDIT: OWENS] a base salary of $5M a year, with the possibility of a similarly-sized roster bonus after the first season.

Of course, with the CBA issue looming and the risk of an uncapped 2007, I'm not sure what the possibilities are for long term deals...

The difference here is, Moss gets along with his teammates.  He, however, has a blaise attitude when it comes to taking care of his body.  He doesn't commit 100% to the offseason conditioning program, and sometimes he even takes plays off.

"I'll play when I want to play", Randy Moss.

TO may be called a "cancer in the locker room", but his team mates seem to back him up with very few exceptions. He does, however, show a profound lack of respect and understanding - and that whole "If we had Favre, we'd be undefeated" thing was just plain stupid of him, even if taken completely out of context. However, at least with TO, I'd know he wanted to play and was trying his best (if for completely selfish reasons, but I can live with that) and not just deciding not to play or running off to smoke some grass instead.

ricky all day everyday

both are good, but ricky is not full of himself

yes ricky made bad choices and shit but he is a player that understands what he did and understands his new position (hopefully this new drug shit is bullshit)

and he like i said is still the best player on the roster

and we already got Chambers and Booker

T.O. because that would give Ronnie brown more room to grow into his role as the featured back in the backfield.  Ricky is probably done unless a miracle happens.  Lets go with TO because he's the only truly available one of the pair

TO..

He's a phenomenal player on the field. All his 'problems' are off the field. Don't blame the Eagles season on TO. That is such a misnomer. Eagles were doomed when McNabb gut hurt in week one.  I think his off the field activities are blown extremely out of proportion.

This is a misnomer people like to use with troubled players. I have seen plenty of instances of him blowing up on the sidelines.

so has Dan Marino..so has Lawrence Taylor..so has Chad Johnson.. There are very few NFL players who do not reveal their emotions on the sideline. This doesn't bother me at all that he does that. The press eats that up though.

I don't remember any of those guys having a rant like that with a coach though. There is a way things should be handled on a team. Yelling at a player for running the wrong route is different that yelling at your coaches in my opinion.

Don't count on that just yet.  It's looking more and more likely we'll have the R&R Express together again next season.
