Did anyone hear Sam Adams just got cut by the Bills I think this guy could sure take our D to another level. Maybe we can give him a cap friendly two year deal. With a guy like this we can run more 3-4 D helping our sorry ass DB's

he's getting old, and he'll probably get a lot of attention in free agency....would be too $$ for us i think...we're pretty solid on the D-Line

No no no no no no no no no no no and no!

I know the man and cannot root for him.  He is probably the most evil man I've ever had to interact with.  He has a "posse" of personal knob-polishers second to none.

DT is not a spot we are absolutely hurting at. We already have a couple decent veterans and have drafted a couple promising young guys. I would say let Adams pass.

I'd take him if the price was right.  This guy is a beast.  Putting him in next to Keith "Truck" Traylor and rotating Jeff Zgonina, Kevin Vickerson, and Manny Wright, our interior D-Line is set.

What sense does this make?  Absolutely none.  We already have two proven veterans and two young studs on the verge of breaking out.  Again, let's concentrate on a NEED position.

There's about half a dozen or so guys who make a living hanging around him.  They're always with him so they can't have jobs.  They hang around the semi-pro/minor league team he owns and act important - but really don't do anything - well, anything except bragging about how great Sam is and what a great year he's having and how he's totally unstoppable and just dominating everyone.  I had the misfortune of watching a Sunday night Bills game with them - we were all at a hotel in Orlando because his highly paid semi-pro team was in the national championship game.  Imagine the most vocal "soccer mom", times it by a billion, and clone her 5 times.  The lovefest was so over the top it went past hilarious to pathetic.  It's as if the most over the top groupie got some sort of bonus.  I didn't see anyone "keeping score" but there was obviously some sort of competition going on.  I only lasted a quarter or so before I had to go back to my room so I could actually watch the game.

I've seen that before.  Now that you mention it, a LOT of NFL and NBA players have their own "posse" that goes everywhere with them.  These are guys that were friends with them before they became such a big star.  Take, for example, Allen Iverson's entourage.  They're all his high school basketball teammates.

here is my question. If you have such disdain for these guys, why are you even traveling to Orlando with them?

Very true, but in this case Sam is from Texas, these guys are from the Seattle area.

I "work" for the league that Sam's team was a member of.   Other reasons  include National championship caliber football and FLORIDA - which isn't such a big deal to you guys who live there, but to a life-long Dolphins fan from 3,000 miles away.  Also, even though his team was only in the league three seasons before moving up to the indoor level, I've known some of the coaches and players for 5-10 years so it's nice to watch them compete on the national level.

In a way it's like the Oakland Raiders.  It's easy to hate the team and Al Davis (I hope the meddling bastard lives forever), but it's easy to root for the few classy individuals that have been associated with the team (when they're not playing the Dolphins).
