Not seeing anything official on the phins site yet, but I know there had been talks. If it really is official (and phinatic has WAY more phins inside access than I do<g>), then I think it will be an excellent signing. Beasley is 31 years old and can still pound as a lead blocker with the best of 'em. He missed 7 games last season, mainly because of a shoulder injury (shouldn't be a problem now), and his arguing with SF's RB coach (as well as Hetherington's improved play) showed Mister Beasley the door. I was not happy when he and coach Mo started bickering...I knew it meant Fred was probably leaving.

Fred Beasley will become Ronnie's best friend in short order...

Dolphins sign FB Beasley

The Dolphins signed former Pro Bowl fullback Fred Beasley to a one-year contract Thursday, according to ESPN.com.
Beasley visited the Dolphins this month and likely will be the team's starter.
Beasley is an eight-year veteran who has played his entire career with San Francisco.
He is known as a strong blocker with excellent leadership skills.
Beasley has 183 career carries for 610 yards. He also has 133 receptions for 1,017 yards and has scored 13 touchdowns.
