Most of us seem to think that the best choice for us is a corner at 16 -- possibly Jimmy Williams. However, the NFL Radio guys think that since we signed 3 corners in free agency that we'll be looking to get a weak side linebacker, namely Ernie Simms. They say that he's a Derrick Brooks-type player.
I think Jimmy williams is highly over-rated. In the 2 biggest games this year for virgina tech (miami, and florida state) williams did nothing. If i were miami id draft Antonio Cromartie. I've seen first hand what kind of an impact he has on a game. 2 years ago when they played miami he was the best player on the field. He recorded a 72 yard fumble recovery for a TD, and had a INT. If he didnt get injured that game miami gets blanked at home.
Cromartie is 6'2 215 with 4.4 speed. Other than daniels, and will poole im not impressed with miami's secondary. Giving Will Allen that type of money was a huge mistake. Ernie Sims is a 4-3 linebacker, he can run from sideline to sideline. He's very instinctive, and can hit like a truck. But the LB position is very deep this year. I've heard possilbly 7 can go in the first round. Cromartie would be my selection at 16. He's the best corner in the draft. It's a shame he chose such a piss poor university to attend.
