Favre Will Play In 2006
Brett Favre informed the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday that he will play the 2006 season, league and team sources have told ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Favre shared his decision with general manager Ted Thompson and head coach Mike McCarthy in a telephone conversation on Wednesday morning, the sources said.

This is great news for Ted Thompson.  If Favre left, the whole cluster-fuckery would be blamed on him.  I hope Favre sucks and Aaron Rodgers gets the job.

This is great news for the Packers and the NFL. Brett Favre is one of the last great players from the last generation of NFL studs. I think he is great for the game and his team. Now, I must admit I would probably feel different if I was a Packers fan. As a non fan, I couldn't give a crap if they didn't win a game all year.

It would suck to turn on a Sunday night game with the Packers and Favre not be the quarterback. Aaron Rodgers has plenty of time to make good. The longer he's on the bench, the more likely he won't tank.

Welcome back Bert. 30 INT's can come true, it can happen to you. Stay focused and you shall accomplish.

Someone on ESPN speculated that he only came back to make a run at a few of Marino's records.  I wonder who holds the record for most career intterceptions...

George Blanda had 277 passes intercepted in his 26 year career.

Brett Favre = 255.

With 23 more INT's, he will become the all-time leader in passes intercepted.  Since he had 29 INT's last season, it's very possible.  And I hope he breaks the record.
