Nacho Libre (2006)

Premise: A missionary moonlights as a luchador to fulfil a secret dream and make some money for an orphanage.

Rating: Meh....sort of disappointing.

This movie had funny parts, but the progression betwen the wrestling scenes was dull.  It seemed choppy, like Naoploen Dynamite was, but it just didn't seem to work the same way.  Heder's Napoleon seemed more natural, and Black's Nacho seemed more forced, so the nuances in character weren't as subtle.

Overall, considering that I like the writers, director, and actors' previous work, the whole was less than the sum of its parts.

Being as it was made by the same people that made the ultimate shitfest in Napoleon Dynamite, I can honestly say I have no desire to see this movie. I like Jack Black too but I think I will save my time and money on this one.

I am tired of seeing Jack Black. I wish the guy would fade into obscurity.

Wow, I can't believe this, but I also think Napoleon Dynamite was the single-most flat, boring, and overall stupid movie of all time.  Was that a comedy?  I think the comedy was me paying 9 bucks to see the movie, the guy behind the booth was laughing his ass off.

I heard Nacho was a great movie.  This comes from people who took their kids to see it.  You guys need to stop watching kid movies if you don't like them!
