I miss football earlier this year than most, because, I think, the Dolphins had such a great year. At least I have the Lakers to watch for a couple of more months.

Yeah me too, NBA playoffs is about the only other sport (on tv) that I can get into. They have a really nice Pro-Rugby stadium a block from my house that is fun to go too, and that starts in a few weeks.

I like March Madness, but that only buys you a month.

Baseball is cool, if there's a team I like in the playoffs, but I find the grind of the regular season to be mega-tedious.

NBA playoffs are cool.

No doubt the stretch between Late Jan, and April is the worst. I hate the NBA, I'm not a NHL fan, and lets face it.........MLB isn't what it used to be.  The Draft is almost upon us , that will give us something to chew on for a while and then Training camp is right around the corner!

Baseball is fun early in the season, and late in the season.  In that midsummer lull when it's hot and sticky, it's not so much fun.  No one wants to watch the Marlins and the Nationals play each other on a Wednesday night in July in front of 600 fans.

That's why mid June to late July is the worst time of the sports year for me.

How do the marlins get grouped into this? The marlins were in the middle of a wild card run in july of last year.

They went on something like a 10-0 run right at the end.

He's a Yankees fan, it's easy to pick on the unpopular little guy. Only we down here actually care about the ramifications of each game.  Smiley

^^^ Is that why the Marlin's attendance is so high?

<---- Ahem... Some people do follow if/when they can't go. "We" as in people like myself and bingebag.  Smiley

They'll be gone soon anyways. Now that the Marlins are today's Expos (hi Jeff Loria!), I wonder what team with the lowest attendance will be the next target for jokes after they're gone... ::lookin at you KC::    Grin

Looking forward to the upcoming baseball season....especially since Manny re-signed with my Dodgers. I hear he is making he debut later this week and being the Dodgers are in AZ for spring training this year I am going to have to catch a few more games this year than I have in the past. I love the NBA playoffs and March Madness as well. NHL....you mean people are still watching hockey....j/k. I think the Stanley Cup Playoffs are exciting to watch especially in the later rounds!!!!
