F$U sucks!!!!!!!

« on: November 22, 2009, 07:45:25 pm »

I know he's a rookie, but i said he was overrated coming out of USC. He benefited from a  weak QB draft class. If Sam Bradford had declared for the draft Sanchez is maybe a late first round pick, but not the number #5 overall. I followed USC last season and he was unimpressive especially in road games against mediorce opponents. I didn't see why this guy was getting all of this hype with only one year starting in college.

Also, Vernon gholston is on the verge of absolutely being the biggest in recent NFL  history. I said when he was drafted he had bust written all over him. Just like Sanchez i hadn't seen the production on the college level.  Gholston is just another Mike Mamamula, a combine freak who's stocked shot thru the roof with his numbers. The jets fell for it like a bunch of idiots.

To answer your question, Tepop, I believe it was Stroke.

Back to the issue of Sanchez, he has shown some promise, but today, he definitely looked like a rookie.

The problem at this point is coaching. He needs to be told to manage the game. Not make stupid throws. Not take chances. No one open? Don't force it, throw it away.

Yes, that's EASILY coachable. I think the great start he got off to may have given the coaches an inflated impression of his abilities and that's still driving their play-calling. Maybe the "tough guy" approach is winning out over the "smart guy" approach in that aspect of coaching as well.

We'll see... the Jets have a soft patch on their schedule coming up (Caroline, @ Buffalo, @ Tampa). They need to get him going again -- and I don't see that happening unless they pull on the leash. The Jets have a good rushing offense. They should use it.

Well, he did post QB ratings of > 80 for his first three starts, which is pretty damn good for a rookie QB. For the year, he has 3 games with a 100+ rating and 6 with 80+ (out of 10 games, including today's).

He's laid some serious eggs, though. No question. I just think his good games are suckering the coaches into believing he can do anything and that just influences the play-calling.

O-side ballers from USC haven't been that impressive in years--the D does OK now and then (see Polamalu).  Sanchez needs time to develop and I think he'll be average at best.  D coordinators just needed a few games to scheme him.  FYO called it with the game management bit.  Remind you of anyone?
