Back to the issue of Sanchez, he has shown some promise, but today, he definitely looked like a rookie.
The problem at this point is coaching. He needs to be told to manage the game. Not make stupid throws. Not take chances. No one open? Don't force it, throw it away.
Yes, that's EASILY coachable. I think the great start he got off to may have given the coaches an inflated impression of his abilities and that's still driving their play-calling. Maybe the "tough guy" approach is winning out over the "smart guy" approach in that aspect of coaching as well.
We'll see... the Jets have a soft patch on their schedule coming up (Caroline, @ Buffalo, @ Tampa). They need to get him going again -- and I don't see that happening unless they pull on the leash. The Jets have a good rushing offense. They should use it.
