I'm giving my Game Ball to Thigpen as well. You can't expect your third stringer to win the game, but he came within a mule's breath of doing exactly that.
I think we have a good, young, solid backup in Thigpen who can challenge for a starting job next year if Henne regresses.

Thigpen and Jason Allen.
Its a mystery why Allen doesn't play more on defense. You can't blame him for that touchdown pass to Heath Miller because Big Ben had all kinds of time and could have walked into the end zone. Allen was caught in the middle of that.
I've been saying this all along. For Miami's offense, Thigpen is the better QB. I am not sold on Chad Henne. Thigpen gave the Dolphins fits last year in -20 degree weather in K.C. and almost beat them. He's a little bit of a maverick but that's what Miami needs.
That ball to Bess and the one to Fasano was beautiful and Tyler can run. The pass to Fasano was a play call that I had not seen from the Dolphins all year. Henne is a statue and can only roll right and throw the comeback to Camarillo. There were times this year that Henne could have ran for a first down with no one within five yards of him.
As far as leadership, the CBS cameras showed Thigpen pumping up the Dolphin o-line after Hartline's reverse and they responded. For a guy thats a third string emergency QB with no snaps or reps with the first team, despite the INT's, he did a helluva job.
Mark it down. We may have a QB controversy by the sixth game next year if Henne doesn't develop touch and quit locking on to receivers.

While I can agree with the sentiment, Brady did indeed begin his legend after his first season. A relative nobody stepping in for an injured starter and then winning the Super Bowl.
Brady's supporting cast was much better than Henne's this year. Henne is going to be a good QB if given the same tools as Brady was.
