After the Yankees and Rays had a suck-off for about a month and a half, the Rays have emerged victorious and win the AL East. Unfortunately for them, that means they now have to face Cliff Lee twice in 5 games, with both probably coming on the road where he is much better.  The Rangers are an excellent ballclub, but they still need Josh Hmailton to be healthy.

The Yankees have to settle for the Wild Card as they have been among the worst teams in baseball the past 40 games and get to face Minnesota on the road. The Twins are also an excellent team, but the Yankees have a history of defeating them in the ALDS. Of course, no Joe Nathan this time around to bail out the Yankees.

My predictions: Rays in 5, Twins in 4

Prediction sounds about half right to me.  I think the Yanks will end up beating the Twins...Rays/Yankees series to get to the World Series will be epic.
