It's kind of funny. As much as I loved Shula I think the timing of him leaving didn't leave much for sorrow. Many of us were excited with the fact Jimmy was coming even if we didn't really like him. With Cox leaving I have to admit I am sad as I know that the Braves will no longer be the same. He brought leadership, class, and professionalism to a struggling franchise.  There is a very short list of people who do not respect him. Bobby Cox ... you will be missed!!! Have a blast in retirement!! You deserve it.

Yep and the Braves hired Fredi Gonzalez to replace him.  Enjoy your return to mediocrity, Braves.  Enjoy your using up pitchers for one batter based on lefty-righty-matchup.

Bobby Cox was a class act, though, and I respect the guy for what he did for the Braves for so many years.  It was nice to see the Giants take time out of their celebration to honor him after his last game.
