Ok don't read this if you've not watched this season,or the finale.....Possible spoilers....

I honestly, didn't like the season finale....I have a quick, walking dead type comment.Liddy tased Dexter, and he had no marks on him what so ever?

Last weeks episode,it was the setup episode,it was there to give you background type info,so the finale makes sense. Those setup episodes typically kind of suck...

So the season finale episode...

- They find Liddy,(that's why the blood drip was so important last week) so they pin it on Quinn in the finale....What about the photos of Lumen, and Dexter disposing of Cole Harmon?

- The disappearing crime scene at the camp....Deb gave Lumen and Dexter one hour (basically) to get away before the police came.Dexter wrecked the stolen car, it was left upside down, added to the fact Jordan chase's car was still there (yeah Dexter and Lumen probably took it).....That scene was left, what about Emily Birch's house? Where is Birch's body?

- There was no real cliff hanger,it was too happy...everyone is great...This is Dexter Damn it....Too me the last few episodes, pretty much sucked....

Season 5, started out pretty cool, but then felt like they ran out of ideas, how to wrap it up...The season fell apart....Almost a C-

I watched it during lunch. I agree, there are holes. I've just come to accept it.

I still enjoyed the finale, though I thought it wrapped up too quickly.  It felt like they missed an episode.  I think that the reveal of Deb coming up to the house and the discovery of blood on Quinn's shoe should've been the end of an episode....or even the end of a season.

Dexter "taking care" of Quinn's bloodwork was too easy an out for the time allotted.  The problem and solution were all delivered in a 10 minute span.  Deb not discovering Dexter (or even suspecting him) was also easy.  I would've preferred to see Quinn and Dexter share a moment or an understanding....and maybe that will come.  I'd like to see Quinn start to cover up for Dexter, and possibly even help him find victims later on.

As for Lumin, I was unsatisfied with her abruptly leaving.  It didn't seem to fit her character or their relationship, but more of an obvious way to excuse a guest actor, in Julia Styles.

All in all, it was a decent season, but not one of the best.  I think that too much time was wasted on the Laguerta/Deb fued, which contributed nothing to the Dexter storyline.

I think the car will come back in the premiere of the next season. The owner reports it stolen from Liddy's crime scene, and it turns up later in Chase's crime scene. The photos of Dexter disposing of Cole did not show him disposing of a person, so the most they could be charged with would be littering.

I think that neither Batista nor Laguerda are contributing to the story anymore.  They either need to get them involved in the main storyline again or move them to the background, to only serve as supporting characters in the station.

Their side stories are uninteresting.

^^^

I agree with that. Its a sappy, boring romance that doesn't really need to be there. Batista's character used to be really good. Now, he's taken a back seat so they could develop Quinn. I've never like Laguerda.

I like what they have with Masuka, who's become one of my favorites.  They don't over-extend him.  He's there just to provide exposition to the viewer, have a pervy line, and then get out of the way.

I wish they would use him just a little more. Seemed like he was force fed to us in the first 2 seasons, then they slacked off to minimal use of him. Now it just needs to balance out. lol

The photos of Dexter disposing of Cole did not show him disposing of a person, so the most they could be charged with would be littering.

I think here's where you're WAY off,The photos are in Quinn's nightstand, where they know Liddy had film, and surveillance equipment, checked out from the department in Quinn's name..The film, and what he was watching doing was brought up while investigating the crime scene.....Not to mention they show Dexter, with a mysterious blonde woman (where Deb is the only person in the department that knows that she exists (not really who she is).Now you also have the problem that Lumen just left (Assuming maybe she's going home?) If asked about the photos...I think they're something that might be brought up next year,or just plain forgot about...

Like Dave said, they accused Quinn, and dropped the charges in 10 minutes....I'd have to watch it again, but the Liddy investigaion, just disappeared (other than the blood work on Quinns shoe supposedly wasn't Liddy's)

Yea, especially compared to last season's finale, this was pretty lame.  I was fully expecting Lumen and Dexter to get pretty much caught, and Lumen to take the blame for it as a thank you to Dexter.  Instead, we get this happily ever after bullshit.

I thought the season ending was great.  Here is the thing some of you aren't thinking of:

Nothing on this show is ever really "over."

The Liddy thing is far from over.  Anyone else remember Angel saying "doesn't anyone else give a shit about this homicide, or am I the only one?"  Clearing Quinn will mean that his murder still needs to be solved.  Angel will be a bulldog on that one, he has a strong sense of "we protect our own."

Dexter did the blood job to protect himself.  Quinn is facing murder chargers and it all comes out, including the pictures.  Which, to address Lil B, are sitting in Quinn's apartment.  The only thing that Liddy had left were the camera work items...and Dexter disposed of all of that.

Luman (Lumin??):  This one is going to come back to haunt Dexter.  This show can only end one way:  He will be caught eventually.  The show can't run forever.  I believe that Luman guilt will get to her and she is going to say something to someone...and it will all unravel.

I think there will be a couple things addressed in the opening next season:

1:  The crime scene where Jordan was killed.  That car is still there, there is blood in it from the accident.
2:  Emily's death.
3:  The Quinn / Dexter thing is far from over.  At the end of the day, the guy is cop.

The "loose ends" this season are only loose ends for now.

The only thing I disagree with. There could be multiple endings other than him being caught.

I watched the finale again last night while doing homework ....Good Call on Angel Batista,I think the Liddy case is going to be the sand in the crack of his ass....

I think Deb's gonna find those photo's in Quinns nightstand after a hangover, and Quinn makeup sex...

Too bad Today Micheal C Hall, and Jennifer Carpenter reportedly gettting a divorce...I got a feeling she's gonna get killed off next season now, especially if it's a messy divorce... Cheesy

Modified to add, I guess my Deb finds the photos possibly went out the window....

T.V. guide interview about the show from one of the producers...Spoilers!
