I'm a Cubs fan,and a Dolphins fan...I'd say the Colorado Avalanche would be the hockey team, I hope to do well, but I don't follow hockey closely...

There are teams that I'm happy to see do well, even though I shouldn't...

I love the Pittsburgh Pirates are playing well this year,I like the Reds, and Brewers are pretty good teams...(Yeah I wish my Cubs weren't an overpaid AA team) It makes the NL Central division fun to watch....

I like seeing teams like the Bengals, the Arizona Cardinals have good years in the NFL.I'd like to see the 49ers become strong again...

So what are teams that you like seeing doing well, that aren't your favorite teams?

Great column on ESPN today about how the Pirates fans are thrilled to actually be buyers at the trade deadline this year, instead of how they normally are (sucking and selling).

I'll cheer for the Pirates. I also occasionally cheer for the OKC Thunder in the NBA, just because I like so many players on their roster.

I like to see underdog teams do well not any specific team just a cinderella team having a dream season I tend to root for (unless of course they are standing in the way of my teams)  Wink

Usually I like to see a team do well if they have certain players that I think are good role models, have a work ethic, and not egomaniacs.  Conversely I root against teams with certain players or coaches I don't like - currently the Seahawks and Jets.

People always give me crap for wearing jerseys of players from other teams.  For example, I have jerseys from the Bengals, Ravens, Saints, Chargers, Eagles, and Rams (aside from Dolphins).  I also have Rays, Red Sox, and Giants baseball jerseys (aside from Marlins).  People look at me funny when I say "I'm not a Bengals' fan..." when wearing a Bengals jersey.  But, moreover, the jerseys are like a tribute to players I like, and not necessarily their respective teams.

NFL:  San Diego and San Fran (grew up going to both teams home games)
NHL: Washington Caps
NBA: Anyone beating the Heat.   Cool

MLB:  I love underdogs, in general.  I grew up a Sox / Padres fan and will always love my Friars, but I usually find an "upstart" each year to cheer for.  This year I am watching a lot of Pirates and Indians games.

We are very close in our secondary teams. For some reason, I like the Pads and I was very happy to see the Giants win last year because of their young pitching and because I hate Barry Bonds. I liked the Caps because of Ovechkin until they beat the Rangers two years in a row(well, last year it was GIVEN to them by a gutless Rangers team, but I digress).

The NBA is the same for the same reasons. I was a die hard Celtics fan for a few games.

I hate the Caps because of Ovechkin.  Funny how that works...

Ironically enough, pre-Brady I liked seeing the Patriots do well.  I took pride in having a "good division."  2002 ended that, though.

I don't dislike the Yankees (primarily because of their history against the Red Sox) and Packers (because of their recent history against the 49ers).  I also don't mind seeing Golden State win.

NFL - Phins are #1....Bucs are a very distant #2.....Jags are even more distant #3...Browns, Lions, Eagles (only because of my buddy...he's the only non-dickhead Eagles fan I've ever met and luckily I haven't met many of them otherwise my opinion would probably change) are all #4

MLB - Rays #1....Mariners #2 (I was a huge Griffey Jr. fan)

NBA - Magic #1...Sonic/Thunder #2

NHL - Bolts #1....no team after that

NCAA - USF #1....Michigan State #2 (I have some close friends going to grad school up there, plus their colors are very close to USF's and I hate Michigan, and MSU is one of their rivals)
