It is one thing to yell, "You need to secure the ball before you turn up field; yards after the catch are meaningless if you don't catch the goddamn fucking ball."
It is a different thing to yell, "Hey fuckhead catch the ball. Catch the fucking ball than turn run up the field. How fucking difficult is that." Without ever providing any coaching or advice that the receiver's problem is he is turning up the field too quickly.
I went to a Catholic school (with nuns and everything) and I don't see the difference between the first and 2nd yells. I understood the meaning of both equally well and if I had just dropped a pass, I would understand why I was being yelled at too. I tend to agree that some players have gotten soft in Miami and other places. I think this kinda thing happens all the time at Jets practices and not so much at Dallas Cowboys practices and when things are on the line the Cowboys fold like a cheap tent and the Jets don't. Where I came from it was called accountability and you didn't duck your head when you messed up, you stood tall and took the blame and worked on getting it right.
That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
