^^ I get what you're saying, but a constant round-and-round of coaching changes isn't going to improve a damn thing.  Both Cowher and Gruden are RETIRED and working in broadcasting and neither has expressed an ounce of interest in returning to the sidelines.  So, perhaps stop your daydreaming.

In those same 10 seasons you're talking about?  Yeah, 5 DIFFERENT HEAD COACHES, including 3 COMPLETE regime changes and total overhauls.  What the hell do you expect to be able to win when you gut the entire system top to bottom every 3 years?

You gotta give these guys more than 2-3 years to pan out.  You HAVE TO be more patient.  I understand you're frustrated - we all are - but you have to think realistically and be reasonable.

I hear you Brian....just sucks that I have no confidence in our head coach.

Also, VERY disappointed with the cramping up issue.  Just seems bush league and unprofessional.  Is it an issue with our trainers or just having players not worried about accountability?

I agree with this... think about Cleveland and how soon they gave up on  Bill Belichick!  I'm not saying Sparano is a Belichick but it does take time when you don't have the pieces and you're trying to get those pieces in place.  Cam Cameron might have set us back several yrs with his decisions alone!

Already another bad start...so we're on to Game 2.  I hope this team proves me wrong, I don't have the same aspirations for the guy in charge, though

Well we do have 2 positive things to consider:

1. We are still a decent 3-3 on the year.
2.  We only have 6 more home games left.

It just occured to me, this Dolphin franchise has turned into the Cleveland Browns... no hope for glory. I hope to be alive for another 30-40 years, hopefully they can turn it around before I go to the promise land.  Cry

I understand where you're coming from (on the current leadership).  However, I'm not sure the grass is always greener on the other side.

Towards the end of Robbie's stint as owner, everyone was up in arms.  Awful owner!  We need a new owner.  Wayne came in.  Took about 17 seconds until people started bitching about everything he did.  Wayne has to go!  Go Wayne, go!  Now that he's gone, Ross is the devil.

Dan Marino was hurt, insert Scott Mitchell.  After Scott's first start, the "Marino is done, trade him" talk poured in.  Marino came back and was just fine, Scott went on to an okay at best career and that was that.

Towards the end on Shula?  He has to go.  Out of touch.  Old.  The team isn't listening.  In comes J.J.  In the time he was here Miami never even sniffed the division, much less a championship caliber season.  Why would anyone think that Cowher or Gruden would fare any differently?  Gruden inherited a decent Oakland team and then bailed for Tampa Bay, taking over a championship ready team from Dungy.  Cowher had his share of VERY bad mistakes in Pittsburgh (awful drafts, bad QB decisions).

Yet these two would be saviors?

The grass isn't always greener.  Winning in the NFL requires a measure of skill and a measure of good luck.  The difference between the team you see now and a championship caliber team is, flatly, the QB position.  Easily solved, right?  That's why San Fran, Oakland, Seattle, Cinci, Kansas City, etc are having such an easy time slotting an all-pro at that level.

A measure of skill and a measure of luck.  I think most front office staff in this league is about equal, minus the Browns running the Bengals.  I'm not sure a clean sweep solves anything.
