I honestly do not think it is possible. Maybe, maybe if they win out but even then it would be tough to see Ross hanging on to him.

It is nice to see the players haven't given up on him though as some on this board were so sure was happening.

I don't know that he can save his job after the season's over.

But if I were him I'd tell the players play your ass off and get to 8-8

The fans don't make decisions.  At least I hope not.

Everyone thought Wanny would be fired, but instead he got an extension.

Just sayin' - just because the fans want him fired doesn't mean its a guarantee.

He is done at the end of the season regardless of how many games they win the rest of the way out (which will probably be no more than 1 win anyway).  Ross wants butts in the seats at the stadium.  The fans don't want to see Sporano there next year and Ross will bring in new blood to try to at least keep some of the paying customers in the stadium.

Not totally true. Fans NOT showing up to games are speaking with their $$$$ and helping force a decision.  That happens in all sports across the board. And damn true for the Fins where they can't sell tickets to save their lives right now.

Winning out the rest of the schedule (which isn't happening) is the only way I see Sparano being saved.

I know this isn't going to happen to the Dullphins, but this year in the Canadian Football League the BC Lions started the year 1-6, then finished the year 11-7 and they get to hold the championship game at home...

Sparano is done, if he isn't then God help us all...

I pray that Ross will realize that Tony is not the right guy for this job.  Regardless of where Miami finishes this season, it's hard to ignore back to back 7 - 9 seasons and an 0 - 7 start.  Hopefully all Miami winning now proves is that it's more or less Sparano's audition to other teams who will needs a new coach.  Proving he "can overcome adversity" and still be a decent coach. Assuming they actually win a few more games.
