^^You made a couple factually incorrect claims. I pointed them out and noted a few other stats that he wasn't having a record year in. Simple as that.

As for 'best season' ... Yes, he probably is. By a VERY small margin, which is the frustrating thing for Jets fans and why you find quite a few who talk about moving in a different direction.

What does "best season" mean when your previous seasons were also bad?

Is the argument here that Sanchez has progressed from below-average to mediocre?

That's exactly the argument. Irrespective of how he is playing in comparison to everyone else, I made the point that he is having- FOR HIM- the best year of his career, not the worst. Somehow both you and FYO felt like it was a point of contention. -EK
