I'm talking strictly about women choosing to bear the child of a man who already has dozens of children.  These women know that he will be completely unable to support this child,

While I cannot argue that all of them didn't know his history I can bet a few had no clue.

I'm not even interested in the psychological manipulation angle; men are manipulated by women, as well... just in different ways.  I don't believe that "women have all the power" in a relationship... that depends greatly on the particular relationship.  I daresay that any woman dating Derek Jeter or George Clooney has an absurdly small amount of power.

I'm talking strictly about women choosing to bear the child of a man who already has dozens of children.  These women know that he will be completely unable to support this child, and yet make a long chain of choices (no birth control, no abstinence, no condom, no Plan B, no abortion, no adoption) that lead to them being stuck with yet another "fatherless" child.  In this particular area, they do have all the power... and they choose not to exercise it.

Maybe they did know that and don't care. We have no idea how these children are being raised. All we do know is that he can't afford to pay child support. For all we know these women are working and raising their children just like everybody else.

With that said -  birth control, abortion and plan B are NOT accessible or affordable to everyone.

As an aside, I think Clooney (and a few others) intentionally dates powerless women. He rarely dates women that are on the same level as him. Unless of course, the rumors are true and they are all beards.

He has 30 children by 11 women.  Based on simple math, there are quite a few repeat offenders in that bunch.

Pretty good reason why I cannot argue all of them didn't know. I still say a few likely had no idea.

It's a little disconcerting to me that some of you are proponents of castration as a means of punishment, but have a problem with a law that would prohibit texting while walking in public. Seems to me the reason is because you figure the first law wouldn't effect you personally while the 2nd law probably would. Is that really the best way to judge it's validity? Especially when you consider that if the law to prohibit texting while walking were to go national, it would probably raise more revenue for the country than the other law would save.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I think that your opinion would make sense from a female perspective.  Men are much more comfortable "dating down" than women are, so to a woman, I would imagine that the concept of dating someone less powerful than you would seem suspect.

As a man, I think that what Clooney does is perfectly reasonable.  If he can date smoking hot women than actually appreciate being with George Clooney (as opposed to dating another star who thinks he's not that big of a deal), why wouldn't he?  He's living the dream.

Because any guy who can have no-strings-attached sex with dozens of incredibly hot women must be gay.

commenting on what's been mentioned, thinking out loud....

From my hermit perspective, and falling to sleep with TMZ on in the background at night...I see George Clooney's globe trotting lifestyle much more attractive to younger women.I'm not his traveling secretary by any means, but it seems like he's rarely in any one spot for very long.I'd imagine he has a place in California,New
York, and I've heard it mentioned about he has a villa in Italy.

I feel women closer to his age, probably get tired of not staying in one place for very long...

I think he might travel more than most celebrities, and likes the lifestyle of it..

I'm not sure what to think about the guy in the story...

As someone who prefers no-strings-attached sex, I have no opinion on this. Just repeating what the tabloids are saying.
