Did you see the media event with McCarthy after G.B. got screwed? Did you see his face during the last seconds of the game? The guy never even opened his mouth during the debacle and even called his guys back on the field for the extra point. Not sure I could have done that.

In his press conference, Mike said "no questions on the refs" right from the start. He went on to say he would not degrade the integrity that is expected and associated with the GB Packers and this event was an opportunity to show it.

The guy and the organization is all class!!!  Way to shine Mike. We all know you got screwed!

Nice job Mike. That IS all class. Now is there really any reason for the others to be behaving as poorly as they have been?

Agreed.  Recognized that when the extra point went down.  He didn't have to bring his guys back out, but he did.  A show of sportsmanship.  Nicely done.

Or thinking to himself "I don't make enough money to have the NFL fine me for this shit" and knowing it isn't worth it to open his mouth to the press.

I'm quite sure it was a different scene behind closed doors...

Disagree, and what makes me say that is his comment about how he saw this occasion to an opportunity to demonstrate the integrity that is expected from being a member of the Packer organization. I honestly believe it was sincere.

Kind of makes sense. You rarely hear of a Packer beating his wife or getting a DUI at 3:00 a.m.

Class is mostly about demonstrating it in public.  He could go on a fiery rampage in private, and that's fine, as long as its in private.

Since McCarthy took over as head coach of GB in January 2006:

11/25/2011   Green Bay   LB   Erik Walden   Arrested on suspicion of assaulting live-in girlfriend.
10/1/2011   Green Bay   DL   Johnny Jolly   Arrested after traffic stop, charged with possession
of a compound containing codeine and tampering with evidence.
6/16/2011   Green Bay   CB   Brandon Underwood   Police called to his house in domestic incident.
He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after allegedly ripping necklace off of his wife's neck.
3/25/2011   Green Bay   DE   Johnny Jolly   Arrested in Houston after traffic stop, charged with
possession of codeine with intent to distribute.   He pleaded guilty to one codeine possession charge
from 2008. Sentenced to a drug treatment program and five years of deferred adjudication.
6/10/2010   Green Bay   CB   Brandon Underwood   Two women claimed they were sexually
assaulted in Lake Dalton, Wis., leading to charge.   Pleaded no contest to prostitution-nonmarital sexual
intercourse, $379 fine.
3/13/2010   Green Bay   TE   Spencer Havner   Arrested in California on suspicion of DUI after
motorcycle accident around 2:45 a.m.
7/8/2008   Green Bay   DL   Johnny Jolly   Arrested in Houston on felony drug possession charge,
allegedly found with 200 grams of codeine.   He pleaded guilty to codeine possession. Sentenced to a
drug treatment program and five years of deferred adjudication.
6/17/2007   Green Bay   LB   Nick Barnett   Charged with battery after altercation at Appleton,
Wisc., tavern.   Pleaded no contest as part of plea deal. Must pay $500, complete anger management course.
5/26/2006   Green Bay   WR   Cory Rodgers   Arrested in Forth Worth, Texas, on misdemeanor
charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon and discharging a firearm outside a nightclub.  15 months
probation, 80 hours community service
2/17/2006   Green Bay   CB   Ahmad Carroll   Arrested on charges of third-degree assault on police
officer at bar, disorderly conduct   Pleaded no contest to reducted charges, $700 fine, plus court costs

Johnny Jolly just can't stop getting pulled over with codeine in his car, can he?

To be fair, all of these guys are irrelevant players (maybe except for Walden and Barnett).  When you see James Jones get arrested, then it will be relevant.

Since McCarthy took over as head coach of GB in January 2006:

Considering that Johnny 'Codeine' Jolly's last season with the Pack was 2009 (he was suspended indefinitely by the NFL), it seems unfair to include his two 2011 incidents.

Still, I have a suspicion the list for pretty much any other NFL team in that time-frame would be "worse".

GB had more arrests during the same time period than ARI and NYJ combined:

3/27/2010   Arizona   LB   Joey Porter   Arrested on suspicion of DUI in Bakersfield. Also accused of assaulting police officer and
resisting arrest.   Dropped for lack of evidence.
6/18/2008   Arizona   RB   J.J. Arrington   Arrested, charged with disorderly conduct after fight broke out at North Carolina nightclub.
He was one of five arrested.

9/21/2010   N.Y. Jets   WR   Braylon Edwards   Arrested on suspicion of drunken driving around 5:15 a.m. in New York. Blood-alcohol
content reportedly 0.16.   Pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DWI, $500 fine, driver's license suspended six months, entered into substance-abuse program.
11/29/2008   N.Y. Jets   DE   Shaun Ellis   Arreseted, charged with marijuana possession and speeding after being pulled over in New Jersey.
5/20/2007   N.Y. Jets   CB   Justin Miller   Arrested, charged with misdemeanor assault. Police said he swung at a man but hit a woman
instead when the man ducked at New York nightclub.
11/25/2006   N.Y. Jets   OT   Adrian Jones   Arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Blood-alcohol level of 0.22.
Driver's license suspended. Fined $20,000 by team.

If you think players with strong moral character are the key to a successful team, feel free to look up IND, PIT, NE, or NYG (url=http://www.utsandiego.com/nfl/arrests-database/]link[/url]).

Winning is the ultimate deodorant.

I don't think you can just tally the total number of arrests and call it a day.

1.  What was the team reaction?  If it was releasing the player it is different than signing an extention.

2.  What was the nature of the crime?  One count of jay walking, one count of public urination and one count of littering, is not three times worse than one count of murder.

3.  When did it occur?  A DUI three days after winning the superbowl doesn't suggest the same lack of work effort as a DUI two days before game day.
