I'm not sure where this rumor started - some things point to something that was said on 560 WQAM.  But it seems like it might have some steam.

Personally, based on Bowe's contract status, this trade doesn't make sense, unless they can get him for very very cheap.  The Dolphins aren't likely to give away a big package of picks for a guy who's a free agent after this season.

What could be holding it up is the Dolphins are trying to get him to agree to a deal.  As usual, the best thing to do is take a wait-and-see approach.

What's holding it up is that its not happening.  Its a rumor, and should be treated as such.  People think the Dolphins need a WR and Bowe wants out.  It seems logical on the surface, but doesn't seem to be the Dolphins M.O. this season.

It does seem logical, especially because Bowe is a Miami native.  Could is the operative word here.

What are saying? Hometown discount? Didn't work with Winston.

Mike, what makes you think Cole got more money to go to Yahoo? According to Armando, the Herald pays very well.

Yeah, maybe I am a little rough on Jason, but it bothers me when we have sports writers covering teams they are not a fan of. Armando isn't a Fins fan either. With so many good reporters and writers that love the Fins, you have to wonder why the local paper would employee these guys.

What happened to the MM thread?

No.  The logic is that the Dolphins need a receiver.  Bowe wants out of KC.  So it would be logical for the Dolphins to at least entertain the thought of pursuing Bowe.  However, seeing as he is a free agent after this year, if I'm the Dolphins, I would want to get him to agree to a long term deal before finalizing the trade.

Newspaper business is dying. No money there. Yahoo is a big company and a power. Plus the job is a step up. Cover the league vs just cover one team in one city.

Sports writers aren't supposed to be "homers" or "fans"

Here is an article that dispels the rumor the Fins were in trade talks with Bowe. Sounds like the media misconstrued what Jason Cole said.
