How many of you can even remember when the AFC East was a tough division if ever? It's been forever.

I remember when almost every year it would come down to Bills vs. Dolphins.  At one time Kelly vs. Marino was as anticipated as much as Peyton vs. Brady is today.

Yeah, but in the 80's NEP making the playoffs was an abboration.

The discussion was if the AFCE was competitive; during the 80s the Pats had a losing record only twice. That's competitive, IMO. -EK
