Unfortunately, not.  I enjoy the occasional game, but I just find way too many things tedious and boring about baseball to get excited until the playoffs.

Good Lord, yes. Baseball has its ridiculous over-dramatizations, but, I'm already sick of SB hype. Let's get it done already. I want the cleanliness, the simplicity, the quietude of spring training, and, of course, of early April baseball, where the games don't matter quite yet, the players are fresh and excited, and the crowds are mainly composed of folks who want to be there, rather than bandwagoners and hooligans.

Ditto.

And with the the AA squad Miami put together... even less.

Normally I get excited for baseball around April.  But this year, since my favorite team has moved to Toronto, I doubt I will watch even 1 inning.

Unless, of course, I travel somewhere else for a game.  We are considering Denver and Toronto this season.

The Yankees are purposely tanking the next 2-3 seasons to pocket money that would be returned from Luxury Tax and Revenue Sharing, so I am not particularly excited. Probably the worst $200 Million payroll team in history due to all of the terrible contracts the Steinbrenners signed. How's that A-Rod deal working out for you?

The only good thing about it is he gets bonuses for breaking HR Records that he will never break due to his body dying from steroid abuse.

I could see that for "this season," but this will be the only season they do that. Once they catch a whiff of all the stud pitching available in the next two offseasons, they'll be all over it like a fat kid on an ice cream sandwich.

It's not for this season, it's actually for next season. They are just making sure they don't have many contracts on the books for when 2014 rolls around. They only have about 4-5 guys signed for 2014 right now, and I may be highballing that figure too.

So, 2013 is their last hoorah. 2014 is the year they will probably be under .500 with the quality of talent in the AL East.
