I think the Dolphins are just keeping all their options open,See how the top of the first round shakes out.See if the price of a trade up goes down when people are on the clock..If the top of the draft doesn't work out,or the price to trade up is too high, they make the trade for Alberts. Then draft according to our board.....

For the Alberts trade to take place he has to pass a team physical first. Therefore if the trade isn't done when the draft begins, it won't happen once it begins (at least for a draft pick in this years draft)

Reports are out tonight that KC will take Fisher #1. And if Jax goes Jordan or a pass rusher...don't be shocked if Miami trades up to #3 and take Jokel (who they love) since the Raiders are dying to trade down and get extra picks.

Reports just coming out that Fisher is the #1 pick by KC.

IF Jax doesn't take Joeckel....expect Miami to try and move up to #3 and grab him

I love how Miami traded their better 2nd rounder to move up, leaving Kansas City no choice but to accept our later 2nd rounder if they want to do the trade.

Or next years 2nd rounder according to Armando. KC has the option of either

Or screw him altogether and get a RT with their 2nd. Make KC eat him.

Warmack's gone now - I think there was some talk about him being a possibility at guard and moving Jerry over to RT. That said, as soon as we moved up to pick 3 the chance of that happening went out the window, no way he would have lasted to the second round.

Will we try and draft a specialist RT, and get something decent at the end of the second round or later? Still have so many other key needs like CB to address too.

Some draft reviews by the "experts"

Kiper has Miami has his #3 WINNER
3. Miami Dolphins: Jeff Ireland won the offseason by outspending everyone in free agency. A case could be made that he tried to outdraft the other 32 teams. Instead, sitting passively at the No. 12 pick, he moved into the top three to get one of the best pass-rushers in the draft, Dion Jordan of Oregon. Ireland drafted at the key positions -- pass-rusher, cornerback and tackle. Jamar Taylor and Will Davis can play behind veterans as rookies and can be groomed to be potential starters at cornerback. Tackle remains a big question mark after Jake Long's departure, but at least the Dolphins drafted one -- Dallas Thomas -- in the third round. The Dolphins finished with nine draft choices, including multiple picks in rounds three, four and five. They will have a rookie pool estimated to be around $9.15 million. It's been a great offseason for the Dolphins. Now Joe Philbin has to put everything together to try to win.

Rob Rang at CBS gives Miami high marks
In the days leading up to the draft, there was a lot of buzz that Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland might continue his aggressive offseason. He certainly did so, moving up to nab Jordan, a dynamic athlete to complement Cameron Wake. But shouldn't the No. 3 overall have more big plays? While I'm not nearly as high on Jordan, I did like the Dolphins' second- and third-day picks. Cornerbacks Jamar Taylor and Will Davis are more athletic than given credit for, and each plays with the physicality needed to be successful in the NFL. Dallas Thomas is quite possibly the most versatile offensive lineman in the draft and, ironically enough, considering he was the No. 77 overall pick, could take over for Jake Long (who wore No. 77) at left tackle. Of their third-day selections, I like Michigan State's Dion Sims and Florida's Mike Gillislee to surprise with key roles early in their respective careers. Grade: B-
