^^^ I just cannot see Houston taking Manziel at #1 overall, at least not with Teddy Bridgewater available. Especially with the almost-perfect performance he had in his final bowl game against Miami. Scouts are going to see his size and arm strength as being superior to Manziel, and when they look at the improvements he made each of his three years as a starter:

Completion %:  64.5% - 68.5% - 71.0%
TD/Int rate:  14/12 - 27/8 - 31/4

...and the fact that when he played tougher opponents like Florida, Miami and UCF, he put up excellent numbers, he really seems like an easy choice at #1, should Houston decide that it really wants a franchise QB.

I would add that I'd love to see Mike Evans on either the Dolphins or 49ers roster next season. Talk about a sweet combination of size and speed...plus good hands to boot. I think he has the potential to be a true #1 WR in the NFL.

I agree he isn't the #1 overall pick. His off the field behavior alone will raise enough red flags to prevent that. Top 10,....probably (although I am not a huge fan of his on the next level). #1 overall, nope.

^^^ Yeah, I could get behind that. Some team in the #8-#15 range who is desperate for a QB will reach and pray on Johnny Football.

I also agree with you on his prospects at the next level. I just don't see a quality NFL QB lurking inside when I watch Manziel play.

If anyone could benefit from another year or two in college, it's Manziel.  I understand the kid's desire to get paid, but based on his legen- (wait for it) -dary immaturity, he would be much better suited as both a pro QB and a human by growing up and learning more in a protected environment like College Station.  IMHO, the kid is a giant headache waiting to happen if he were to go pro.  Whoever drafts the kid will regret it.

I think Manziel will be a huge bust. He can really use more college experience.
