Away from the team for "personal reasons" .....he then posts a photo online of him lighting something he is about to smoke. He has had some off the field stuff with his family effect him all season and its taking its toll on him according to the article.

Also worth noting Bess leads the NFL with 14 drops

C'mon he's not about to smoke it.  He's outside, snow on the ground, wearing the jamaican colors around his neck, WITH A PICTURE OF BOB MARLEY (outside), clearly he was just lighting it in homage for Marley.

Now it's clear why Philbin didn't want him around

I'd take him back on a real cheap one year deal if he agreed to "get his mind right". Not like he has many options and we could use a cheap receiver if he could produce like he did when he was here.

He isn't as talented as our slot receivers now I don't think.

Maybe not. However, we did lose 2-3 starting receivers to injury last year. For the right price he is talented enough to fill in that situation, 5 wide, and for depth.

The Fins had 2 mentally unstable people this past year and it blew up in the Dolphins face. Don't see the Fins taking Bess on right now

Especially after the way he left, milking an injury so he could collect some money and not play

I could see New England taking a shot at him.  In the right environment, he could be a star.

I think Bess's NFL career is over.

Kind of funny but I had forgotten Gibson was coming back until today. For whatever reason that made me smile. I hope Bess works out his demons but I'm glad Gibson is here.

Football aside, I wonder what the heck happened with that guy.  He always seemed like he was pretty well squared away as a person, then the wheels seemed to come off over the last couple years or whatever.  You never know what is really going on in their private lives, but he always seemed to have it together pretty well and then all of a sudden he becomes a train wreck.
