The Gator Chomp squeaked by Silent Night in round 1, 6-5.

The Tomahawk Chop beat out Howard's Rock, 7-3.

This matchup of similar traditions for in-state rivals was completely unintentional.  I hope it doesn't just devolve into people voting for which team they like more.

One of these is clearly more visible during games. That's why it got my vote.

I prefer the Gators over the Seminoles, but I recognize that the chop is a more recognizable symbol.  Also, as Phish said, the overhead shots showing the crowd really emphasize the movement.  It's harder to see the Gator Chomp.

Possibly.  Us Hurricane fans hate both these guys but we hate the Gators more than the Seminoles.  That being said, it's pretty obvious who the "IT" team is.  Have a vote like this back in 2008/2009 and I'll bet the results will be very different.

I've been a Hurricanes fan since the 80's and I definitely hate the Seminoles more than the Gators.  Its difficult to hate a team that's scared to play you.

The Canes and Noles play every year and have a decent rivalry going.  I can't say the same about the Gators.

I respect the Seminoles for wanting to play us.  I have zero respect for the Gators with all their cockiness and the Gator Flop.  They would rather play an FCS team than the Hurricanes because they are too scared.
