It was up to that woman to press charges if she felt it was warranted at the time.  Don't wait for a major national scandal and then chime in with a "me too!" and act all offended.  Where were you when it happened?

She did file a police report.

settled out of court means "I pay you a bunch of money and you drop the charges"

So, I still don't know why this wasn't 'a thing' until the bully scandal went public...

Much like all of the women who say they were raped don't come out until one person finally makes it in the news, then all of a sudden 3 more people come out and say they were raped. Wasn't that with the Bill Cosby thing?

Because the Dolphins organization helped to get it swept under the rug. The police took her report but did not arrest Incognito. Had they decided to make an arrest, it would have been all over the news.

Because nobody was snooping around Richie and his dirty laundry till the bully scandal. Once every reporter in the country was looking for a scoop on Richie and digging into every aspect of his life it was impossible to keep covered up anymore

Fine.

my point is this:
That is a crime whether he's a bully or not.  The fact that he made fun on Jonathan Martin doesn't make his harassment on a golf course even more heinous.  The events are unrelated.  So I don't see how no one cared about it beforehand, but now everyone is "up in arms" about the same exact event.

^^^It is more accurate to say a select few did not care about it enough to make it public. Once the news got out, it was pretty unanimous the way people felt about it.

Because the Dolphins covered it up.

Doesn't change the fact that Incognito is a scumbag.

But he's not a half bad offensive lineman. I don't really know what one has to do with the other. I work with plenty of scumbags. They weren't hired for their winning personality, they were hired because they know how to repair a jet. In Incognito's line of work, sometimes being a scumbag is an asset.
