Agree with both of you, however I don't think we can simply say that because our defense will be better we will compete with Buffalo for the division. That remains to be seen.

It's not just that, we got 14 draft picks coming up and unless we make a trade, 3 first rounders. One will probably be a QB so 2 first rounders for immediate help. O-Line should be much better and that means we will have a running game this year, hopefully Preston stays healthy and adds to our receiving corps. As of now, I am very optimistic about this upcoming season and I have always been pessimistic on Buffalo's actual talent level. I don't see a repeat of 2019 for them but I could be wrong.

How prepared are all these rookies going to be at the start of the season if they haven't been allowed much practice?

First few weeks of the season will heavily favor veteran units playing in their usual scheme.
