Back to the question at hand,  the only scenario I see would be relocation and rebranding the team.

Yeah, I can see that. It's funny because I live in NY so geographically it never mattered but if they became the Virginia Maulers I can see that bothering me a lot for some reason.

My only straw is moving, which is incredibly ironic because I don't like any of the teams local to me.

I have already had to invoke this twice in my life so far: when the LA Rams moved to St. Louis in 1995 (and I became a Dolphins fan), and when the Seattle Supersonics moved to Oklahoma City in 2008.

Over the past month or two I've been fed up with all this talk of a trade for Watson; and for the most part I think it was just media driven, and perhaps driven by Watson's agent and/or the Texans, without much true interest by the Dolphins.  But it really brought me to the point where if Miami were to trade for Watson, giving up multiple 1st round picks, without (IMO) ever truly giving Tua an opportunity, then I would turn in my Fan Card.

Likewise with Phishfan I would probably move on to another team if they moved and re-branded.

That wouldn't do it for me but it would make me lose interest for at least a year. Watson was amazing last year and they went 4-12, what's the difference if he changes uniforms?

For the record, as it stands I don't think Watson is guilty of the bad stuff, just being an idiot who used Instagram for hookers. If I thought he was guilty or he pleaded guilty and did one of those rich people things where he only served 3 months community service for sexual assault then I would be done with the team until Ross sold and Watson was gone.

I'm a Dolphins fan, and no matter what I'll be a Dolphins fan.

With the Dolphins playing defense like they currently do?  Nothing.

I've put up with the awful change in logo and uniforms, and all the other bullshit that seems to have accumulated under the Ross ownership. I may even put up with the insanity of trading away a ransom in draft picks to get Watson if these clowns are still idiotic enough to try it...

The final straw for me would be moving the team. At that point it's not Miami, it's not my team anymore, and my suffering is over. Fuck em.

I think that you guys talking about the team moving being your final straw has kind of convinced me on that one too.   I grew up rooting for the Miami Dolphins because they were my hometown team.  They were my hometown team from the time I was 6 til the time I was 40.   That is the majority of my life.  And I have stayed loyal to them even though I left South Florida 16 years ago.  But if they left, they would no longer be South Florida's home town team.  And since that is why I first started rooting for them in the first place, I wouldn't really have any reason to root for them anymore if they left.  Regardless of their record.

It's hard to blame the defense when Miami is third from the bottom in average points scored per game at 17.2 pts.  The only game Miami won they only scored 17 pts.

This is true sometimes but other games they have gotten killed, even when the offense wasn't abysmal. With a solid offense, this is still a unit in the 20's at best.
