I guess a quiet 3 day weekend was more important to Miami than finding their next Head Coach. Let's see who else from those "early next week" interviews finds other jobs in the mean time.

I was starting to warm up to the idea of Daboll, especially given the other two that are considered front runners for the job.  Great job Dolphins Front Office, blew another one!!

I'm glad. I don't want an offensive coordinator head coach especially one with no HC experience, I'd rather get a defensive minded head coach who hires a good offensive coordinator than get a good offensive coordinator who's your head coach. I'd rather have Vance Joseph than Brian Daboll as HC. I don't understand why they are interviewing all these first time head coaches when early on Ross said he wanted someone with head coaching experience. Why is Pederson not interviewing? Does he not want to coach in the NFL?

Most of us are already at the point where we are just hoping for the best candidate from the pile we didn't want. For many, that was Daboll. Kellen Moore is not wanted and hopefully he stays with Dallas but McDaniel doesn't even call his own plays, we certainly don't want him.

But what does that leave? Overrated Leslie Frazier? The Kansas City OC who can't even speak to men behind closed doors without shitting the bed? We may end up with a Pedersen or Caldwell and that might be for the best.

I can't say for certain and we might never know, but if Miami told Daboll they would interview him next week, then that is just disrespectful of his time and probably made him go to the Giants. You have to fly to the coaches you want and make them Godfather offers. It's just mind boggling he was one of the finalists and we told him to wait until next week. Burger King wouldn't do that for fear of losing the employee to Wendy's.

McDaniel doesn't call his own plays? WTF does he do besides looking like a homeless person? lol

He apparently has a ton of input into the offense and is will respected. Still, not respected enough to call his own plays. I'm sure that over 90% of what he calls is run but every OC has to run the offense 100%.

Well we aren't hiring him for OC, I don't know that I want the head coach calling the plays anyways

Which is why this makes even less sense. If the guy isn't even in charge of the offense, how can he jump right to being in charge of a team? Not like this is some veteran coach whose been around the league, he's 37 years old. Maybe he can be great but it seems like a really bad fit for us.

Or maybe I can manage my Madden 22 team better than he can manage an NFL team. Maybe I should sign up. Do they have an online application? LMFAO
