I'm thinking a poll could be added

Superbowl (Appearance or win)
AFC Championship game
Divisional Round  (first round bye or just a playoff victory)
Wild card (just to make the playoffs)
Missed playoff

I could have put Appearance or win on the other options but a win would just imply the better option.

I would choice Divisional round just because it's the next logical step since they made the playoffs last year and just getting a playoff victory would be huge for this franchise.

I’m with you a playoff win is the minimum.

I'll third at least a playoff win.   Anything less and things will not be pleasant in the Dolphins front office.

Playoffs would be the minimum this year... But after the first pre-season game I have reservations already, and that's not giving a toss about the result of the game, just how we played.

If we aren't forced to use our 38th stringers on defense like last year and Tua plays at least 85% of the games, I would say this team can win it all. At the very least, I want the Conference Championship. If we have to face a 15 win Chiefs team at Arrowhead then there is no real shame in losing that game, but no first or 2nd round knockout is acceptable to me. Last year was playoffs, time to make a big leap.

In review, for the majority of the poll participants Miami under achieved.

I really think that the injuries threw us off track. I don't want to make excuses but I really think it was too much to overcome.

Every team has injuries.  Mia went 10-0 against teams with a losing record, and 1-7 against teams with a winning record.  That screams slightly above average with an easy schedule.

Over half the starting defensive unit was out. Not every team has that this weekend.

By any objective measure (# of players, % of salary cap etc.) Dolphins were ended the season slightly healthier than the average NFL team.

Every team has injuries, fans love to pretend like their team is the only one missing players. NEP had twice as much of its salary cap on IR than MIA, many teams had a much longer injury report than MIA.

I don't care about bozos that are injured. Over half the starting defense was out yesterday. No other team had that.

This thread is about expectations which involves playoffs performance at this point. I don't give a rat's ass about the Patriots season long injuries because that isn't of discussion. The Patriots don't have an injury report this weekend. Stick with the topic at hand, the majority of people expected Miami to advance past this week.
