I've done my yearly schedule review, assigning the following values:
0 - Scheduled Loss
.25 - We will be underdogs and unlikely to win.
.5 - Toss Up
.75 - We should win this game if everything goes to plan.
1 - As much as a "gimmie" as can be in the NFL

Now, once in a while, you'll lose a 1 and win a 0, but this stuff generally averages out.

Sunday Sep. 8 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars   0.75
Thursday Sep. 12 vs. Buffalo Bills   0.5
Sunday Sep. 22 at Seattle Seahawks   0.5
Monday Sep. 30 vs. Tennessee Titans   1
Sunday Oct. 6 at New England Patriots   0.75
BYE
Sunday Oct. 20 at Indianapolis Colts   0.5
Sunday Oct. 27 vs. Arizona Cardinals   1
Sunday, Nov. 3 at Buffalo Bills   0.25
Monday Nov. 11 at Los Angeles Rams   0.25
Sunday Nov. 17 vs. Las Vegas Raiders   0.75
Sunday Nov. 24 vs. New England Patriots   1
Thursday Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving) at Green Bay Packers   0.25
Sunday Dec. 8 vs. New York Jets   0.75
Sunday Dec. 15 at Houston Texans   0.5
Sunday Dec. 22 vs. San Francisco 49ers   0.5
Sunday Dec. 29 at Cleveland Browns   0.25
Sunday Jan. 5 at New York Jets   0.5

10 Wins Total

Total: 11.5 wins

I'm more optimistic about this schedule than most.  The only games that really scare me are home vs 49ers and at Texans.  Every other game on this list is winnable.

Looking at the season in segments, you want:

2 out of three to start against Jax, Buffalo, Seattle
3 out of four against Titans, Pats, Colts, Cards
1 out of Bills and Rams (very hard)
3 out of four against Raider, Pats, Packers, Jets
2 out of four against Texans, 49ers, Browns, Jets

That would come in at 11 wins and give you a path through the playoffs and possibly the division.

May as well just say "2 out of three against Texans, Browns, Jets"

Just keepin' it real...  Wink

We haven't had 12 wins since 1990.

MIA has had 5 losses four times since then, if you prefer to think of it that way.

^^^ Good point on record comparison. The additional game skews how you look at numbers.

I hope I'm wrong but I think we will be lucky to win 10 games. This team isn't physically tough in the trenches and we like to go on multiple loss streaks. Besides that it will take time for our defense to come together. Add that with such a tough schedule to end the season right now I have to believe we will be 9-8  this year.

I am with you on this one - when I looked over that schedule, I also saw a 9-8 season coming up.

This is the year we change that.

I think so. I see no reason to believe we don’t start 6-1 ( with 7-0 being a legit chance we have Buffalo on a short week at home in September this is exactly when we we want to play the bastards ) all our away games are winnable, no on there scares me and we have an advantage against Buffalo.

This is Miami so it will be tough and we might blow it but I don’t think so.
