Granted this is a small sample size and I am excluding family, close friends and healthcare works and only talking about acquaintances and strangers.

For the past six months I have been either in a wheelchair or using crutches.  And while many men have been quite kind

women are more likely than men to....

offer me a seat when they are seated and I am standing on crutches.
hold the door open for me
pick up my crutch if I drop it
offer to get things off the shelf for me at the store
offer to let me cut them in line so I won't have to stand in line as long
offer me a car ride
offer generic help
give me their phone number and tell me to call them if I need anything (acquaintances)
ask me how I am doing.

Well to quote something leveled at me in another thread... are you guys just getting old?

I'm finding women are more dangerous than ever. They are younger, fitter, more confident, and more able to kick (even kill) any of our old asses.

They are definitely not the weaker sex any more (if they ever were)

Ps. Don't ever let them cook you up a Beef Wellington (look it up - Australian news)

In January I was crossing the street and was struck by a car, breaking my leg.  (Hit and run)  Just had my second surgery last week.  I thought I posted about it, but I might not have.

The interesting side detail of that situation is that her estranged ex-hubby was supposed to be there when the poison wellington was served, but he cancelled.   Good call there...  Shocked

Many things about this case seem very weird.  She claims that she too got sick and went to the hospital.  The news stories don't mention if that is true of not.  But checking hospital records shout be easy, no mention if she was lying or not.  She saved the leftovers, but hid the food dehydrator??
