The mall has 3 floors: Ground, 1 &2.  It has an elevator. It is a small elevator .It goes up, it goes down.  When it stops at the middle floor it has multiple lighted indicators letting those waiting if it is going up or down.  Almost everyone ignores the indicators getting on even if the elevator is going the opposite direction.  Needlessly crowding the elevator and blocking people trying to get off and on the elevator.

This is not rocket science.  There is no reason to go up one flight and down 2, if you just want to go down 1

I think G might be "Garage," not "Ground."

It would be strange for a building to have the "1st floor" above the "ground floor."
