I'm considering purchasing a portable DVD player for when I'm stuck in airports for hours or other times work requires me to wait around doing nothing.  Has anyone had experience with these products?

If you feel like gravedigging, I did a review on one of these purchased a few years back, when I was travelling a lot for work.
I barely ever use it anymore, and would give you a great deal on the DVD player, an extra 5 hr battery, and a carrying case. Hit me on a PM if yuou are interested.

Personally, save up some more money and buy a laptop with a DVD-drive.  Much more worth it.

Not really, but people like Maine and myself who travel a lot for business always take our iPods, sports magazines, and at least one book.

I travel a lot, and considered a portalable DVD player.  In the end, I decided to use my laptop.  Why carry around another device.  I already carry the following in my briefcase -

- laptop
- power cable
- car/plane adapter
- small digital camera with battery charger
- binoculars (too expensive to leave in luggage)
- cell phone and charger
- assorted papers/maps/travel planes
- at least 1 book
- international adapter kit for Europe and Asia

I just couldn't see adding anything to that.
