so much for the firesales!!  suckers!!!  i wonder what teams are going to lose a stud player they coulda kept because of this...i wonder if there will be a technicality that'll let them undo the cuts

So far no big names have been on the chopping block. Names like Simeon Rice have been thrown out there but nothing official yet.

Actually players released during this period of uncertainty can still be re-claimed.

A high-level source with one NFL team told ESPN.com the league has informed teams that any player placed on waivers during the period of uncertainty (which includes players in this story) can be recalled from waivers until there is more clarity about the pending free-agency period.

That sounds fair.  Once teams know what direction the salary cap and free agency are headed, they'll know what they can and can't do.

Odd...Chris Mortenson was saying those cut Wednesday,were S.O.L. That's what he was saying on sportscenter....that was the 5 pm cen Sportcenter...

I imagine enough teams bitched saying...well we woudn't have cut them...

Well, the article I posted seems to imply that the Dolphins cut on Wednesday still can be reclaimed.
