i read an article about it; both casserly and kubiak wanted mario...several other teams also had him rated as the #1 player on the board.  they conferred with the owner several times, and he gave them his full support on the decision.

ahhhh i get it..... i read a few more articles about this and he actually wanted to pursue a job in the NFL front offices.  it also probably had a little to do with the new house cleaning and all
