"It's Official: RB Chatman Joins the Jets"

http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/articles/show/2095-it-s-official-rb-chatman-joins-the-jets

What does everyone think, did the staff give Chatman a look and lost out on him?  Or do you think they've planned on Ronnie/Ricky toating the rock together again?

I believe that's exactly what they've planned on..... with Booker catching passes out of the backfield.

i think chatman's a very solid player and we should have kept him around for insurance - you can't guarantee R&R will be healthy or stay out of trouble.  i guess they trust them enough, and think that booker & cobbs are decent enough.  unless this could be an omen to a move to come later.  maybe they're planning on picking up another back somehow/somewhere

I think Jesse Chatman was overrated and will be back to form next season.  Plus, with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington, where's there any room in the backfield for the guy that "ate himself out of football?"
