I'm sorry. As a player, I'm not blind. I would find a way to date one especially if there was magic in the air. There are a lot of discreet places you could meet.

Of course they can date; I mean, look at the original article!  It's the story of a player who married a cheerleader.

We don't live under Sharia law; citizens are free to date whomever they wish.  But a cheerleader who chooses to date a player will lose her (low-paying and disproportionately time consuming, apparently) side job.

It's not like these women are being blacklisted from the profession they've spent years of training and education preparing for.  They aren't exactly paying their rent with their cheerleading salary.
