Justin Masterson was called up to Boston straight from Portland Maine, he started a game and pitched well then was reassigned to Pawtucket. He has started three games for Boston and won all three, we have seen this before with young pitchers like Buckholze and Lester. The odd thing is this kid was starting to struggle in Portland. So Maine tell us is he the real deal or just a flash in the pan ? Fill us in on this young talent.

Masterson is going to be very good.  He's not there yet, he needs more time in the minors.  As soon as Matsusaka is off the DL, he'll be gone.
