Oh, wait...that's right.  You don't actually pay attention to baseball.  You just wait for something to happen in Boston and pile on.

Well, for the rest of you - exactly what I said happens several times a year happened with Tampa Bay yesterday in a loss to Texas.  Matt Garza and Dioner Navarro got into a heated debate on the mound and then had to be separated in the dugout.

Weird.  Neither team has a Red Sox logo.  And here I was thinking all of the ills of the baseball world fell in Boston.

Same thing for Houston - heated debate in the dugout between the pictcher and an outfielder after the latter had made an error.

Matt Garza and Dioner Navarro are 2 no-names who nobody gives 2 shits about. Boston had 2 "faces of their franchise" scrapping in the dugout.  Alittle different, big guy. Nice try.

The Rangers?

It's because the media blows up anything the Red Sox or Yankees do, good or bad, because they think the country revolves around the northeast.

No, 'big guy', it's the exact same thing.

Maine, do you really claim that the Red Sox don't get any more national press than the Tampa Bay Rays?

Of course they do, that's not the point.  Manny could haul his stuff out and piss on the field at the same time that Crawford drops his drawers and craps on the infield on deck circle.

Denver would rant and rave about how inappropriate Manny's actions were and wouldn't say a peep about Crawford's.  When asked about Crawford crapping on the field he'd say something about it needing fertilizer so what he did was okay.

Are YOU saying that in-fighting with teammates is okay as long as you are on a team that doesn't get a ton of national exposure (but not okay if you are)?

Not what I'm saying at all.  What I am saying is that when the Red Sox fight, its on SportsCenter, in every newspaper, etc.  The the Rays fight, no one even knows about it.

And, since you brought it up, at least Crawford was taking a dump outside the field of play.  Wink Cheesy

As a Yankees' fan - you know, one looking up at TB, Denver should care about both teams (and not just Boston).

In Denver's original post I accused him of not actually paying attention to baseball.  The fact that he called out Boston within hours of that event taking place and yet days go by without mention of Tampa's confirms my suspicions.  Which is why this thread was directed at him.  Reverse homerism at it's best.

I don't know what suspicions you are claiming to have confirmed. If you want me to admit that I have a life and cannot not sit and watch all 162 games of the baseball season cause thats not what my actual job and life revolves around like yours does, then by God, you got me there. Believe me, I'd love to get to do some of the things you get to do, but the average fan with a life isn't like you bro. Sorry to burst your bubble. You are what they call an extremist.

So because I do not have the time to watch every little tidbit, call-up, and baseball related story you claim that I do not pay attention ? Thats retarded dude.

Yo Denver it is clear what Maine is saying, this kind of fighting happens all over the league, including in Tampa. The deal between Youkolis and Manny was no big deal, the team was tired of Youk acting like a child every time he had a bad at bat, so Manny stepped up and told him how it was. It is not a big deal, this has not affected the Redsox in the least. So what if Maine is a huge baseball fan and watches all the games, he has posted on this board several times about how much of a proud parent he is, anyone who has young children has a life out side baseball.

Dude the most hilarious thing I've ever heard. Manny was sick of Youkilis' acting like a child ? Please don't do it. Hmmmm, I wonder if they all love Manny's lack of hustle and his poses at the plate that initiate 99% of the brawls they have been in. Ramirez has no right to call out anyone. The worst part is that the puppet manager that they have in Sux land lets these guys roam and walk all over him.

I don't doubt Maine has a life outside of his job, but the fact is that it is his job to know the shit that he rubs in our faces when we don't know who Joe Schmo is that got called up from Single-A East Bumblefuck.
